Why should we give? When you give to the Lord, it is because God is the owner of everything you have. You recognise His ownership by giving Him the first and the best of all that He gives you.

There are four things that should motivate us to give:

  • Thankfulness to God
  • Gratitude towards those who feed us spiritually
  • Love and compassion for the needy
  • A passion for the ministry of the gospel to be advanced

“Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10
